Greenspoint-based HealthHelp LLC has once again made both the Houston Business Journal (HBJ) and Inc. lists for the fastest-growing private companies in Houston. The businesses on both lists were selected based on their private revenue growth from 2010 to 2012.
This is the third consecutive year HealthHelp has been featured on HBJ’s Houston Fast 100 list and the sixth consecutive year to be featured on Inc.’s 5000 list.
Inc. ranked the company No. 2,862 overall, No. 217 in the health category and No. 59 in the Houston Metro area based on a reporting of a 120 percent growth from $17.4 million in revenue in 2009 to $38.2 million for 2012.
The ranking given to HealthHelp by the Houston Business Journal for this year’s list will be revealed at an awards luncheon on Sept. 6.
“The American focus on quality and safety in health care and the health insurance segment’s inclusion of such metrics in their benefit plans is driving our success,” Cherrill Farnsworth, HealthHelp’s president and chief operating officer, said in a press release posted on the company’s website August 28.
HealthHelp executives have also recently received accolades. Earlier this year Farnsworth received the 4th Annual Most Influential in Specialty Heath Award. The National Association of Specialty Health Organizations presents the award each year based on votes from those who purchase specialty health services. The award helps to distinguish leaders in the industry who not only work to raise the profile of high-quality health specialty services but also work to ease access to those services.
Founded in 1999, the company provides specialty care benefits management services for cardiology, oncology, radiology, emergency medicine and numerous other medical specialties. In addition to its Greenspoint headquarters, HealthHelp has a location in Annapolis, MD and call centers in Houston and Albany, NY. The company has 212 employees and manages specialty care benefits for 15.5 million Americans.
