Gateway Maintenance
The North Houston District’s Gateways Program was born from the HGAC Livable Centers Study. Striving to make the district a welcoming place where people want to invest, live, work, and visit, we’ve added a series of lighted monument signage with beautiful landscaping at major thoroughfares and natural entrances to the District. The Field Services Department maintains those Gateways.
Landscaping and Mowing
In Southeast Texas, where the growing season is long and vegetation thrives nearly year-round, regular mowing is essential to maintaining the clean, well-kept appearance of the North Houston District. Our team understands the unique challenges presented by this climate and is dedicated to managing the rapid growth of grass and plants. Through consistent mowing schedules, we ensure that 180 acres of parks, green spaces, and busy corridors remain neat and inviting, reflecting the care and attention we put into every aspect of our District’s appearance.
Right of Way Maintenance
Our partnerships enable us to uphold the highest standards in right of way maintenance. We work closely with local and state agencies to manage and maintain these areas, ensuring that they are safe, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing. This includes regular mowing, tree trimming, and upkeep of landscaping along roadways. (picture of us mowing TxDOT ROW)
