North Houston District Celebrates National Night Out at The Harvest

On Tuesday, October 1, the North Houston District participated in National Night Out at its new location, The Harvest Church. The event was a huge success, thanks to The Harvest’s fantastic facilities, ample parking, performance stage, seamless coordination, and the addition of new community partners. Their welcoming space provided the perfect setting for our community to gather, rain or shine.

We had an amazing time and captured some beautiful memories just for you! Check out the photos showcasing the fun, family activities, and the wonderful connections between neighbors and law enforcement. Be sure to download and share your favorite moments with friends and colleagues to keep the community spirit alive!

We want to thank all the law enforcement agencies, civic organizations, and vendors who made the night so memorable. A special shout-out to Karicia Hill, NNO ’24 Event Chair from The Harvest, for her leadership in making this event such a success. Attendees had the chance to connect with local officers, learn about crime prevention, and enjoy a fun-filled evening.

Tracy Harrison’s Leadership in Growing National Night Out

Tracy Harrison, our Vice President of Public Safety, has been instrumental in expanding National Night Out in North Houston. The event grew so much that it outgrew its original location at Tom Wussow Park, leading The Harvest Church to step in as our new host.

“National Night Out is an opportunity to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the community,” said Tracy. “We are so grateful to The Harvest Church for providing such a wonderful space to continue building these connections.”

What is National Night Out?

National Night Out is a yearly campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make communities safer. It was launched in 1984 and is traditionally celebrated on the first Tuesday in August. In Texas, we celebrate on the first Tuesday in October.

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 7, 2025, and join us for next year’s National Night Out! To find an event near you, visit natw.org or check with your local law enforcement or neighborhood associations.
