A Tribute in Public Art

The park’s crowning feature is a stunning new sculpture titled “Botanical Peace,” created by renowned artist Kevin Box in honor of Elvin Franklin, Jr.

Box, known for his distinctive technique of transforming delicate origami into enduring metal sculptures, designed the piece as a symbol of growth, transformation, and the lasting influence of leadership—qualities that defined Elvin’s impact on the region.
