Park Perfect: Maintenance in Action

Striving to make the District a place where people want to invest, live, work, and visit means dedication to expansion of inviting, safe, parks, art and attractions. We advocate for continued green space expansion, and partner with organizations like N Houston Development Corp, or TIRZ Number 11.

N Houston Development Corp was created by the City of Houston in August 1998 to facilitate the development and redevelopment of residential and commercial properties within their boundaries. Since then, TIRZ Number 11 has built more than half a dozen parks and installed more than 30 public art pieces.

The North Houston District Department of Field Services helps manage and maintain those facilities once they are built, including Buckboard Park, North Houston Skatepark, Rockstar Energy Bike Park, and infrastructure projects like Greenspoint Bridge and Airline Drive.
