The North Houston District’s Board of Directors unanimously approved the FY2027 budget during its October 27, 2026, meeting.
The $9.6 million budget includes funding from the N. Houston Development Corp for operations of the North Houston Sports Complex. Of that total, $8.3 million is allocated to program and project expenditures.
Key highlights include:
- Public Safety – Expansion of the Off-Duty Officer Patrol program and continued support for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Task Force, Houston Police Department Bike Patrol, and private security patrols.
- Field Services – Continued curb painting and striping, illegal dumping abatement, maintenance of gateway monuments and landscaped esplanades, and expanded maintenance of District corridors.
- Planning and Infrastructure – Construction of the Greens Bayou Trail connector and West Road sidewalks, improvements to Jack Drake Park, and funding to implement recommendations from the Traffic and Mobility Study.
