CityNorth Industrial Park Redevelopment Will Replace Greenspoint Mall

After many years of behind-the-scenes work to find a right-fit redevelopment project for the former Greenspoint Mall property, spearheaded by the N. Houston Development Corp/TIRZ 11 (NHDC), an acquisition has been announced by Lincoln and New York Life Investment Management.

Current plans for the property include a demolition of the main mall structure beginning in October 2026, followed by a ground-up redevelopment of approximately 80 acres into 1.2 million square feet of cross-dock and rear-load industrial buildings, along with retail and service uses.

The development is expected to support approximately 300 construction jobs and accommodate 1,200 full-time jobs when fully developed, and will restore purpose to the property, which was once an economic and employment anchor for the North Houston area.

In conjunction with the City of Houston, NHDC is contributing $15 million to the $150 million redevelopment.
